邦訳はすでに何冊か出ているのだけど私が確認したかったThe Mystery Of Thingsの邦訳『精神分析という経験 事物のミステリー』Dead mother,dead childとWording and telling sexualityが割愛されている。
Three Characters: Narcissist, Borderline, Manic Depressive: by Christopher Bollas, Bicester, Oxon, Phoenix Publishing House, 2021
Ogden TH. Inventing psychonalysis with each patient. Int J Psychoanal. 2025 Jun;106(3):473-488.
The author posits that for an analytic treatment to be alive and effective, the analyst must invent psychoanalysis with each patient. In responding to the question, “What does it mean to invent psychoanalysis with each patient?” the analyst must first ask himself, “What does it mean to become a psychoanalyst?” and “What is it that defines psychoanalysis.” Further, “What is distinctive about the practice of psychoanalysis?”

The idea of the unconscious itself is beginning to be viewed as an idea as opposed to a “fact”. Freud (1915)considered “incontrovertible” (167) the existence of the unconscious, an aspect of mind “behind” or “beneath” the conscious mind. To my thinking, the unconscious is an idea, a brilliant idea, an idea immensely helpful in organizing my ideas when working with patients. But it is just an idea (Ogden 2024)
オグデンも“What Alive Means: Psychoanalytic Explorations”の8. Discovering a Personal Life: On Winnicott’s “The Capacity to Be Alone”でそこに触れている。
From the perspective of synchronic time, one would not have to say that the internal environment comes to play the role once played by the external object mother. In- stead, one could conceive of the individual’s past experience of the mother as external object as an impression left on the infant that becomes part of who the infant is (not as an internal object). The concepts of an internal and an external world need not be invoked; instead, one is thinking about past and present experience in relation to who the infant is and is becoming.
APA、Division 48 of the American Psychological Association、The International Pediatric Association (IPA) など。
Dana Birksted-Breen ”The Work of Psychoanalysis Sexuality, Time and the Psychoanalytic Mind”に収めれている6 PHALLUS, PENIS AND MENTAL SPACEを読んだ。
7 Transformations at the dawn of verbal language。 The Story of My Life(1903)はヘレンがサリヴァン先生との間で、前言語的な記号の世界から言語的に象徴化された世界に開かれるプロセスを描いている。
With the acquisition of verbally symbolic language, there developed a new way of experiencing, a new way of coming into being, and a new way of being alive. Emotions that she had not previously been able to feel-repentance and sorrow and love-Helen became able to experience. It is not that these feelings were latent and were waiting to be unearthed. This is emphatically not the case.
These feelings were created for the first time when Keller entered the world of experience verbally symbolized. “Everything had a name, and each name gave birth to a new thought… every object which I touched seemed to quiver with life.” Names are not simply designations for feelings and things, they are ideas about feelings and people and things. Language gives rise to a qualitatively different realm of experience, a realm in which one is both subject and object, one is able to think of oneself thinking, one is alive to levels of meaning, range of emotion, complexity of feeling, and forms of experiencing not previously attainable.
Pathological forms of the analytic third (“the subjugating third” (Ogden, 1996))が出てくるのだけどここは保留。
This transformation of unity into ‘three-ness’ coincides with the transformation of the mother-infant unit into mother, infant and observer of mother-and-infant as three distinct entities.
e-journal『The Journal of the Japan Psychoanalytic Society. vol.7』です。
In Search of Mind: Essays in Autobiography. (1983)。
This transformation of unity into ‘three-ness’ coincides with the transformation of the mother-infant unit into mother, infant and observer of mother-and-infant as three distinct entities.
From now on the subject says: ‘Hullo object!’ ‘I destroyed you.’ ‘I love you.’ ‘You have value for me because of your survival of my destruction of you.’ ‘While I am loving you I am all the time destroying you in (unconscious) fantasy.’
–The Use of an Object and Relating Through Identications Donald W. Winnicott
History is a creation reflecting our conscious and unconscious memory of, our personal and collective rendering of, our distortions of, our interpretations of, the past. –Ogden, T.H. Matrix of the Mind
